ALSTASAN SILVOX (Silver Hydrogen Peroxide based Biodegradable Agriculture Disinfectant) addresses the following areas of concern without causing harmful/toxic effects.

Method of application:

Regular Treatment by Drench Method:

A fair dilution of the disinfectant is made and the solution is drenched to the soil every 15-30 days. Helps in treating the following corn diseases:

  • Stalk rot, caused by Erwinia carotovora identified by yellow withered leaves, followed by pungent smelling rotten tissue which expands from the base, typical of its name
  • Ear rot, caused by Fusarium verticillioides. identified by star shaped white to pink cottony mold streaks on the edible fruit parts

Regular Treatment by Drip Method:

This disinfectant is added to irrigation water and fed to the soil bed through a drip line. It is advised to repeat this process once in every 15 days for disinfected corn cultivation.

Regular Treatment by Spray Method:

A solution of the disinfectant is made and sprayed on the cucumber farms once in every 7-15 days helping in the treatment of the following diseases:

  • Rust by Puccinia sorghi is seen as tiny reddish brown blisters on both leaf surfaces that may turn dark brown to black late in the season
  • Corn Smut by Ustilago maydis, leading to gall formation on all parts of the crop above the soil line
  • Grey Leaf Spot by Cercospora sp. causing lesions and excessive chlorosis
  • Northern Leaf Blight by Exserohilum turciccum is seen as grey-green leaf lesions that progress to turn the entire leaf discoloured. Easily identified by the unrestricted lesions
  • Southern Corn Leaf Blight by Helminthosporium maydis seen as tanned elongated leaf lesions bound by the running veins. The water soaked margins turn golden yellow as the disease progresses

Soil Fumigation:

A solution is made and applied uniformly on the moistened soil beds during tomato cultivation. Helps in the treatment of:

  • Northern Leaf Blight by Exserohilum turciccum is seen as grey-green leaf lesions that progress to turn the entire leaf discoloured. Easily identified by the unrestricted lesions
  • Southern Corn Leaf Blight by Helminthosporium maydis seen as tanned elongated leaf lesions bound by the running veins. The water soaked margins turn golden yellow as the disease progresses
