ALSTASAN SILVOX (Silver Hydrogen Peroxide based Biodegradable Disinfectant) addresses the following areas of concern without causing harmful/toxic effects.

Method of application:

Regular treatment by Spray method:

A solution of the disinfectant is made and sprayed on the plants once in every 7-15 days helps in treating the following diseases:

  • Powdery Mildew by Oidium mangiferae is identified by superficial fungal growth on aerial plant parts; affected and fruits age prematurely and fall
  • Anthracnose by Colletotrichum gleosporioides is identified by small dark spots on flowers, dark spots with a centered halo on the leaves, and sunken lesions on fruits
  • Bacterial Leaf Spot by Xanthomonas campestris seen as angular wet leaf spots that crack open exuding a gummy substance, and defoliation
  • Alternaria Leaf Spot, identified as small brown spots on the leaf undersides, is caused by Alternaria alternata
  • Bacterial Cankers appear as water soaked angular lesions causing yellowing of leaves, is caused by Xanthomonas magniferae
  • Stem End Rot by Lasiodiplodia theobromae, Phomospsis mangiferae, Dothiorella doninicana causes the fruits to blacken at the stem ends, and fowling of the pulp emits unpleasant odour
  • Lasiodiplodia theobromae, Natrassia mangiferae causes drying of twigs and leaves, giving a burnt appearance, and generally fall off giving a bare look to the tree; known as Dieback
  • Twig Blight produces elongated black lesions on the aerial plant parts giving a scorched appearance; the leaves dry and fall off, is caused by Lasiodiplodia theobromae, Nattrassia mangiferae, Colletotrichum gleosporioides
  • Gummosis is identified by the exudation of sap like substance, that turn brown with vertical cracks, is caused by Lasiodiplodia theobromae
  • Root Rot by Rhizoctonia sp. infects as water soaked patches around the stem bases, making the diseased tissues soft and dark

Regular treatment by Drench method:

A fair dilution of the disinfectant is made and the solution is drenched to each plant every 15-30 days. Helps in treating the following diseases:

  • Bacterial Cankers appear as water soaked angular lesions causing yellowing of leaves, is caused by Xanthomonas magniferae
  • Gummosis is identified by the exudation of sap like substance, that turn brown with vertical cracks, is caused by Lasiodiplodia theobromae

Soil fumigation:

A solution of this disinfectant is applied uniformly on the moistened soil beds. Helps in the treatment of the following:

  • Anthracnose by Colletotrichum gleosporioides is identified by small dark spots on flowers, dark spots with a centered halo on the leaves, and sunken lesions on fruits
  • Bacterial Cankers appear as water soaked angular lesions causing yellowing of leaves, is caused by Xanthomonas magniferae
  • Lasiodiplodia theobromae, Natrassia mangiferae causes drying of twigs and leaves, giving a burnt appearance, and generally fall off giving a bare look to the tree; known as Dieback
