ALSTASAN SILVOX (Silver Hydrogen Peroxide based Biodegradable Agriculture Disinfectant) addresses the following areas of concern without causing harmful/toxic effects.

Method of application:

Regular Treatment by Drench Method:

A fair dilution of this disinfectant is drenched to the soil every 15-30 days for preventing the common diseases in radish farming. Helps in treating:

  • Downy mildew, by Peronospora parasitica, identified by pale leaves with white, brownish or olive mildew on lower leaf surfaces
  • Fusarium oxysporum causes one sided yellowing of leaves, leading to defoliation
  • Wirestem (damping off) disease by Rhizoctonia solani causes seedling death, brown red to black rot which encircles the stem, resulting in a twisted stem (wirestem)
  • Black Root by Aphanomyces raphari is seen as blue-black lesions encircling the main root making radish inedible

Regular Treatment by Drip Method:

This disinfectant is added to irrigation water and fed to the soil bed through a drip line. It is advised to repeat this process once in every 15 days to prevent radish diseases like:

  • Downy mildew, by Peronospora parasitica, identified by pale leaves with white, brownish or olive mildew on lower leaf surfaces
  • Fusarium oxysporum causes one sided yellowing of leaves, leading to defoliation
  • Wirestem (damping off) disease by Rhizoctonia solani causes seedling death, brown red to black rot which encircles the stem, resulting in a twisted stem (wirestem)
  • Black Root by Aphanomyces raphari is seen as blue-black lesions encircling the main root making radish inedible

Soil Fumigation:

A fumigant solution is applied uniformly on the moistened soil beds. Helps in the treating the following diseases in radish cultivation:

  • Downy mildew, by Peronospora parasitica, identified by pale leaves with white, brownish or olive mildew on lower leaf surfaces
  • Fusarium oxysporum causes one sided yellowing of leaves, leading to defoliation
  • Wirestem (damping off) disease by Rhizoctonia solani causes seedling death, brown red to black rot which encircles the stem, resulting in a twisted stem (wirestem)
  • Scab by Streptomyces scabies causes irregular brown to yellow root injuries that merge to form sunken lesions
  • Black Root by Aphanomyces raphari is seen as blue-black lesions encircling the main root making radish inedible

Regular Treatment by Spray Method:

A solution of Alstasan Silvox is sprayed on the plants once every 7-15 days. Helps in the treatment of the following diseases:

  • Scab by Streptomyces scabies causes irregular brown to yellow root injuries that merge to form sunken lesions
  • Alternaria sp. causes Alternaria blight seen as concentric yellow to dark brown spots that merge to form large areas of necrosis, resulting in defoliation
