ALSTASAN SILVOX (Silver Hydrogen Peroxide based Biodegradable Aquaculture Disinfectant) when diluted with water at an effective concentration addresses the main areas of concern to check the growth of microorganisms. Effective against all known pathogens, yet nontoxic for the aquatic life, this potent micro-biocide has earned its “safe” reputation.

Degrading into water and oxygen, this silver stabilized hydrogen peroxide (Aquaculture Disinfectant) increases the dissolved oxygen content of water, with no other harmful residues taken up by the fishes intended for human consumption, increasing both yield and conditions of mrigal fish farming.

This Aquaculture Disinfectant is effective against the following Mrigal diseases:

  • Ulceration by Aeromonas sp., Pseudomonas sp., Aphanomyces invadans
  • Columnaris, by Flavobacterium columnaris, identified by raised white patches with red margins, that later develop into blood drenched spots
  • Branchiomyosis (Gill rot), by Branchiomyces demigrans, where the fungus causes yellow-brown necrosis of the gill areas
  • Dropsy, by Aeromonas sp., causes irregular body scaling and ulceration, with distended abdomens
  • Ichthyyophtiriasis, by Ichthyophthirius multifilis, identified by white sporulation
