Disinfection in Cassava cultivation

ALSTASAN SILVOX (Silver Hydrogen Peroxide based Biodegradable Agriculture Disinfectant) addresses the following areas of concern without causing harmful/toxic effects.

Method of application:

Regular treatment by Drip method:

The disinfectant is added to irrigation water and fed to the soil bed through a drip line. It is advised to repeat this process once in every 15 days. Helps in the treatment of the following diseases:

• Xanthomonas axonopodis causes small brown water soaked lesion with brownish leaf blades as they expand. The lesions merge to form large areas of necrosis
• Anthracnose, by Collectotrichum gloeosporioides accounts for stem and leaf cankers, causing wilted leaves that reduces plant life, and distorted stems
• Cassava root rot disease, by fungi Macrophomina phaseolina, Botryodiplodia theobromae, Fusarium sp. accounts for light brown to dark gray tuber discolouration, with brown wilted plants that have a burnt appearance. Additional infection by Botryodiplodia sp. accounts for white fungal growth at the stem bases

Regular treatment by Drench method:

A fair dilution of the product is made and drenched to the soil every 15-30 days. Helps in cassava disinfection by treating the following diseases:

• Anthracnose, by Collectotrichum gloeosporioides accounts for stem and leaf cankers, causing wilted leaves that reduces plant life, and distorted stems
